What secrets from the past can emerge from Traz?

The life of a police officer, especially one from homicide division, is not an easy one for sure. But things gets further complicated for Detective Rebecca Madsen (Sarah Jones) of San Francisco PD, when she starts to investigate a homicide case, in which the main suspect appears to be a former Alcatraz inmate, who died some years ago. And the ball starts to roll. This is the beginning of the story in the new FOX TV show “Alcatraz” that will kick-off on January 16th,2012. Created by Elizabeth Sarnoff, Steven Lilien and Bryan Wynbrandt, this action/mystery/thriller show is currently planned as a mid-season replacement to air on Mondays at 9 pm in January 2012. The series is executive-produced by the creator of “Alias”, “Fringe” and “Lost” J. J. Abrams, Bryan Burk and Elizabeth Sarnoff. Ever considered the possibility J. J. Det. Madsen is assigned to a murder case and a fingerprint on the crime scene surprisingly leads her to Jack Sylvane (Jeffrey Pierce), a prison from Alcatraz who died decades ago. Keeping in mind the detective’s connection to “The Rock” – her grandfather and surrogate uncle Ray Archer (Robert Forster) were guards at the prison, Madsen dives deeply in this investigation. She commits even more to the case when the government agent Emerson Hauser (Sam Neill), who is a kind of knows-everything-but-tells-nothing type, tries to halt the inquiry.

Alcatraz expert Dr. Diego “Doc” Soto (Jorge Garcia) starts to aid Det. Madsen in her search for the truth. Their path lead them to understanding that Sylvane is alive and he has started a new killing spree in San Francisco. To add up to the confusion, the criminal apparently has not aged a day since he was in Alcatraz. Soon our heroes realize, that Mr. Jack Sylvane is only a small part of a much larger threat.
