Garrett Stillman is the closing chapter of the first season of this Fox TV show. Surely there will be more to come, but we all hope that some issues will be resolved and some questions will find their answer before the curtain falls. Detective Rebecca Madsen (Sarah Jones) will meet her grandfather Tommy (David Hoflin) once again for sure. She first met him when she lost her San Francisco PD partner in the beginning of the season, so at the end another meeting is appropriate.
We also hope that there will be some more clearness about where the missing prisoners and guards was in the last 50 years and who is responsible for this. Perhaps more light will be shed over the love story between Agent Emerson Hauser (Sam Neill) and Lucy Banerjee (Parminder Nagra). Because at the end it is always good to have some love, isn’t it? And Dr. Diego Soto (Jorge Garcia) could probably have some luck with the coroner lady Nikki (Jeananne Goossen), although it is almost certain that his heart belongs to Rebecca.

Johnny McKee (Adam Rothenberg) added his 5 cents to the solving of the great mystery called Alcatraz – the new J.J. Abrams TV show. This week villian in the For series – Mr. McKee has a toll of 70 dead bodies, after he sent his time poisoning people that weren’t nice to him. This earned him a place in Alcatraz and, as a bonus, a trip through time to present day San Francisco.
Detective Rebecca (Sarah Jones), Agent Hauser (Sam Neill) and Doc Diego Soto (Jorge Garcia) managed to hunt him down, as Johnny McKee was going to start another killing spree as he got a job in a bar and a hotel pool, with the intention root out bullies and make them pay. Thanks to little help of his former cell mate Jack Sylvane (Jeffrey Pierce), McKee is back where he belongs.
There are many questions that need answers in this show but some of them are more interesting than others. For example, we see the inmates and guards appear in present day Frisco totally intact by the time they were missing. Are they going to start aging again like the rest of the humanity, or they will remain ageless? Or perhaps they will collapse one day and the time will hit back with vengeance, making them 80-90 years old folks?
Ot remains to be seen what will happen, but we all hope that it won’t be the last suggestion that we made. I personally prefer Lucy (Parminder Nagra) the way she looks now. And did you ever wander what she is dreaming about? We see that Dr. Beauregard (Leon Rippy) is helpless in his efforts to bring her back to life, but he notes that her EKG indicates that she is dreaming. What is she is seeing that makes her want to stay away?

Fox TV show Alcatraz offered us another twist in the myth in this week episode – Paxton Petty. In the tune of the most romantic holiday in the year – St. Valentine’s day, J.J. Abrams latest hit gave us a new perspective over the bond between Agent Emerson Hauser (Sam Neill) and Lucy Banerjee (Parminder Nagra).
It seems that they knew each other back in sixties, when Lucy was known as Lucille. Emerson Hauser was a part of the San Francisco Police Department in 1960 when he first met Dr. Banerjee. One night Hauser was part of the escort that delivered to Alcatraz a new inmate. Paxton Petty (James Pizzinato) was a veteran from the Korean war, sentenced after killing many innocent people in Frisco. Petty was a landmine bomber, who have carried successfully 3 assaults before got captured.
At first Lucille turned down Emerson Hauser’s attempts to get close to her, but soon the task of finding fourth bombing location in Paxton’s case brought them closer.
At the end of this episode Agent Hauser took Lucy away from the hospital in the present days San Francisco with the hope that Dr. Beauregard will help her get better and bring her back.
Dr. Diego Soto (Jorge Garcia) also is enchanted when he meets a beautiful medical examiner Nikki who is working on the Paxton’s present days case. The lady is wearing a Sandman t-shirt, which is like a key to Soto’s heart.

Another meeting is on a way as we keep on sinking in the mysteries of Alcatraz. This week Detective Rebecca Madsen, Agent Emerson Hauser and Doc Javier Soto will are after Paxton Petty (James Pizzinato). We all are eager to see where the hunt through the streets of San Francisco will lead us this time. It will be good for a while to start getting more questions when we look for answers, but we all know that this just is not J.J. Abrams style.

In the previous part of the show we met Guy Hastings, for the first time in Alcatraz we saw an actual guard instead of the usual inmate returnees that we see from the beginning of this J.J. Abrams show. And now we know that her grandfather Tommy Madsen is much important for solving this mystery that we thought.
Actually, the revelation that Ray Archer is Tommy’s brother and Rebecca’s great uncle isn’t that shocking at all. It made no sense the idea that a guard will quit his job in Alcatraz just to take care for the family of an inmate, even if they knew each other from before. But now, knowing that they are tied by blood, everything makes perfect sense.
Now we know, that Agent Hauser has tried to convince Ray to work for him 16 years ago, but Archer have refused the proposal. And yet, this isn;t taking us even a step closer to understand where all these people went 50 years ago and what drives their moves when they are back. Yes, sure they are doing what they have done before, all the bad things that put them in jail, but there is something more that are orchestrating their acts in the present days. And somehow Tommy Madsen is part of the web if not a center of the web.

So, Guy Hastings is a guard, the first one that we see reappear after what happened in 1963. Back in the old days, Mr. Hastings was a good man, but unlucky for him, he was forced to do bad things.
