Detective Rebecca Madsen (Sarah Jones) is one of the main characters in the new Fox TV show Alcatraz. In the beginning of the J.J. Abrams’ series she is young San Francisco cop, who has recently lost her partner. Soon after that she became a part of investigating team whose task is to track down former Alcatraz inmates. Those prisoners have disappeared some 50 years ago and now are coming back to terrorize San Francisco.
Madsen is too young to be the lead detective, so there must be some reason why she is part of such great project. And the reason is her past and her connections with the famous American prison. It comes to our knowledge that her grandfather is one of the missing inmates and he is the one that murdered Madsen’s previous partner. Surprisingly, neither she, nor her leading agent Emerson Hauser (Sam Neill) are in a hurry to find her grandfather.
The team other member is Dr. Diego Soto (Jorge Garcia), who is like a breath of fresh air in the series, since he is the only one that is not acting and thinking like a cop.
